Meet Your Guide

My name is Tiffo Abdel. I guide Jewish heritage tours in Morocco, based in Casablanca. I work with travelers from the US, Canada, Israel, and Europe — families tracing roots, synagogue groups, and curious travelers who stumble onto one of the most fascinating stories in North Africa.

My Master's degree is from ISITT in Tangier — one of Morocco's top tourism schools. The Mimouna Association, the Moroccan NGO focused on preserving Jewish-Moroccan heritage, supported my studies. That early bond between my education and this community's history set the course for everything that came after.

I'm Muslim. That fact surprises some people. But through my work walking through mellahs, synagogues, and cemeteries with visitors, I've learned that this heritage belongs to all of us. Most of my guests say the most memorable part of their trip is exactly that — seeing this history through that lens.

I cover Casablanca, Marrakech, Fes, Meknes, Essaouira, Rabat, Tetouan, Tangier, and the Atlas Mountains. Every tour is different because every group comes with different questions, different roots, and different reasons for being here.

Over the years I've worked with families discovering their Moroccan roots for the first time, university groups studying interfaith history, and cultural delegations looking for something deeper than the standard itinerary.
