Camel Trekking & night in a Camp

About this activity

Our adventure begins at the base of the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi, home to the highest dunes in North Africa. From this point, we will embark on a camel ride across this majestic desert.

For the first time, we will find ourselves in the vastness of the desert, surrounded by dunes towering several meters high, losing ourselves in the silence that envelops us and discovering the unique flora and fauna of this landscape. We will have the opportunity, highly recommended, to dismount from the camel and walk a few meters, feeling the sand beneath our feet—an experience that will allow us to connect with the desert in a completely different way.

We will continue our journey with a stop to watch the sunset, where we’ll witness one of the most impressive (and famous) sunsets in the world. After this unforgettable moment, we will venture further into the heart of the desert, where we’ll arrive at the camp where we’ll spend the night.

There, we will be welcomed with traditional tea and enjoy a delicious Berber dinner in the midst of the desert’s vastness. After dinner, we will continue to enjoy an unforgettable evening with a drum music performance. We will sit around a fire and have the opportunity to learn how to play various traditional Berber instruments, living a unique experience under one of the most spectacular starry skies in Africa (we recommend taking a moment to lose yourself in the sea of stars; a true feast for the senses).

After a restful sleep, we will wake up before sunrise to witness the dawn in the heart of the desert (this activity is optional, but 100% recommended!).

Following this unique moment, we will have breakfast at the camp and then embark on the return journey to our accommodation, riding camels, where the activity will conclude.
