Cuisine is an essential part of Moroccan culture and tradition. Immersing yourself in the kitchen to prepare a traditional dish is one of the best ways to experience daily life in Morocco and make the most of your journey.

For Moroccans, cooking symbolizes family and togetherness, with most recipes passed down through generations.

This culinary adventure will be guided by an experienced Moroccan woman with over 20 years of expertise. She will welcome you into her home, where the workshop will take place in her kitchen, offering an experience that will engage all five senses.

During this workshop, you’ll have the chance to learn how to cook some of Morocco’s most iconic traditional and Berber dishes, such as couscous, tajine, harira, Moroccan salad, Berber pizza, or bread baked in a traditional oven.

Your cultural immersion will begin with a visit to the local market, where residents shop daily for fresh ingredients like meat, vegetables, and spices. Afterward, you’ll head to the chef’s home to start the workshop.

A translator will be present throughout the experience to assist with communication. You’ll also have the option to choose the dish you’d like to prepare, though our chef may offer suggestions, for example, couscous is traditionally served on Fridays, an experience not to be missed!

After spending time in the kitchen, what better way to conclude the workshop than by enjoying the delicious dishes you’ve prepared, accompanied by Moroccan tea? Bismillah
